I design a concept inspired by your vision, and together we craft your community’s monument

We offer a ready-made package or kit designed for long-term community-building initiatives, enabling individuals or groups to engage in creating art together.

This package includes a pre-designed art project or concept, types of materials, and step-by-step instructions to ensure an accessible and enjoyable collaborative art experience.

The group of participants will create a collective artwork using a custom kit provided by the artist, designed to reflect the community’s experiences and identity.

This program features:

Clay Hands

“Clay Hands” is a collaborative public art monument in Aarhus, created in partnership with the Aarhus municipality and located at Folkestedet. Involving 1,200 citizens from diverse backgrounds, it symbolizes equality across ethnicity, gender, class, politics, and religion.

This project highlights the crucial role of active citizenship in shaping our cities, emphasizing that community engagement is essential for creating meaningful and impactful urban spaces.

The process made me look at my hands and feeling them and noticing things about them. It is a weird feeling no to be able to really move for a while and having to be still but it also calmed be down at the same time. Steps to Bring Your Artistic Vision to Life

Step 1: Share Your Vision

1. Email Your Ideas: Email me and tell me about your vision and what your community needs to thrive.

      • Identify Goals: if you want to raise awareness, build connections, convey your message or revitalize a space.

Step 2: Sketch Phase

1. Schedule a Meeting: We’ll meet to plan the details of the sketch phase.

      • Outline Details: Define key elements such as the space, participant group, message, budget, and timeline.

2. Kit Preparation: I will design a concept and create a socially engaged art process based on your vision and needs, ensuring it’s engaging and enjoyable.

If there are budget limitations for this phase, I can help with funding strategies.

Step 3: Realization Phase

  1. Kit Delivery: You’ll get a kit with the plan, timeline, cost estimates, and methodology to build your monument and engage your participant group effectively.
  2. Preparatory Meeting: We will have a meeting to review and finalize all details before production begins.
  3. Community Involvement: Your community will be involved throughout the production phase.
